PhD project:

My research will examine the nature of Islamization through a cross-regional analysis of sites in Transjordan and Palestine of the Middle Islamic period. I aim to further refine the arguments surrounding the complexities of Muslim-Christian relations, and in doing so, challenge the historiography which depicts the processes of Islamization as static events.
